Our History
C&L Auto Body was founded by owner and president Charlie Napoli in 1984. Since that time, C&L has grown from our flagship location in East Hanover NJ, to an 10 shop MSO serving Morris, Sussex, Warren, Union, and Middlesex counties in Northern NJ. Our promise to our customers is to limit the disruption an accident has caused in their lives by providing a seamless and transparent service, all while delivering a repair product that is accurate, safe, and duplicates OEM specifications.

Charlie Napoli
President/CEO
Starting with one tow truck in 1984, Charlie Napoli has grown C&L Auto Body into one of NJ’s largest and most successful Multiple Shop Organizations (MSO’s). Born and raised in Newark NJ, Charlie is the definition of the American dream, having established C&L on the core values of hard work, determination, and integrity. Charlie has grown C&L to over 10 shop locations and one of the largest towing fleets in the state. A die-hard car enthusiast and prominent business leader, Charlie has combined his love of the industry and business to create jobs for over 140 employees (and counting!).
Ed Derosa
Director of Operations
Ed joined C&L Auto Body in 2017, bringing with him over 15 years of management and operations experience to C&L’s senior leadership team. Prior to C&L, Ed spent much of his career with Progressive Insurance as an Auto Damage Leader for Claims Specialist throughout Northern NJ. Ed’s passion for the auto repair industry started at a very young age, helping his father run his Auto Repair Shop in Paterson NJ. Ed has been an Integral part of C&L growth and development by utilizing his insurance and technical background. Born and raised in Northern NJ, Ed is a proud graduate of Rutgers University. Ed currently resides in Essex County with his wife Michelle and daughter Brynn.
Theresa Trento
Director of Accounting & Finance
Since joining C&L in 2010, Theresa has become a key member of our senior leadership team and a large part of C&L’s growth and development. Theresa oversees a team of individuals responsible for all accounts receivables and payables, as well as Human Resources and all financial transactions. Theresa has spent the entirety of her career growing her knowledge and experience in the innerworkings of company financials and accounting practices, as well as computer coding. Theresa has also trained countless employees on C&L SOP’s and best practices. Theresa is the proud mother of Rebecca and Samantha and wife to Joe (and even prouder Dog mom to her pup “Duke”!).
CJ Napoli
Regional Manager
CJ was born and bread in the collision industry, joining the C&L Team at only 18 years old. CJ started his career learning the inner workings of the day-to-day body shop operations, initially in our parts department and then quickly learning the complexities of blueprinting and repair management. CJ has gone on to manage multiple shops for C&L, including our flag ship shop in East Hanover. Through his hard work and commitment to learning all aspects of our business, CJ was recently promoted to our Senior Management staff as a Regional Manager, overseeing operations at 4 locations throughout our territory. CJ currently resides in East Hanover with his fiancé Nicole and dogs Lodi and Bruno.
Jerry Chaparro
Regional Manager
Hard work, a commitment to excellence and proven results has defined Jerry’s career at C&L. Starting at C&L in 2008 in our parts department, Jerry has gone on to hold nearly every role C&L has in body shop operations. Jerry eventually worked his way up to manage multiple C&L locations and has become a key leader in our company. Most recently, Jerry joined C&L’s Senior Management team as a Regional Manager, with the responsibility over overseeing 4 of our locations throughout our territory. Outside of work, Jerry can be seen spending most of his time with family (wife Jenn, and two children Arianna and Jerry Jr), as well as at Metlife Stadium supporting the NY Giants.
Jenn Chaparro
Director of Office Management
Jenn joined C&L in 2013 as a customer service representative for our flag ship shop in East Hanover. Quickly establishing herself as a leader in the office through her attention to detail and outstanding customer service, Jenn moved on to lead our Kenvil location as an Office Manager. Over the past 9 years, Jenn has been integral contributor in development of many of C&L’s SOP’s and best practices. This past January, Jenn joined our Senior Management team as the Director of Office Management, overseeing all C&L shops office staff and operations. Jenn is also a flower enthusiast, running a side business for the past 15 years that provides floral arrangements for homes, weddings, and parties. Jenn is the proud mother of Arianna and Jerry Jr, and proud wife to Jerry.
Marisa Barone
Internal Business Administrator
Marisa joined C&L in 2011, bringing with her an extensive career in retail management and accounting practices. Since joining our team, Marisa has been a vital part of C&L’s growth - overseeing our accounts payable department, as well as various HR and administrative responsibilities. Marisa’s attention to detail and pride in her work is unmatched, diligently overseeing all our companies’ payables and compliance practices. Marisa is the proud wife of Angelo and mom to Michael and Amelia. This, however, pales in comparison to her endless pride and love for her grandson Vincenzo!
Ed Brozowski
Blueprinting and OEM Repair Specialist
Having recently joined C&L in 2021, “Eddie” quickly established himself as a key component to the future growth and development of our company's estimates and repair procedures. Having worked in the collision industry since 2004, Eddie brought to C&L a tremendous technical background spanning from painting, body repair, blueprinting, and insurance compliance and regulation experience. Eddie has honed his talents in this field to become the central figure in C&L that oversees our blueprinting and OEM repair procedures, ensuring our repair practices keep up with the technical requirements and changes in the collision repair industry. Eddie is the proud dad to his sons Brayden and Devon, and a loving husband to his wife Lauren.
